That is so like an Officer who is never of duty. Cmdr, after all that we have been through, I think that a well earned break is deseverd for all. I am sure that Starfleet will be the first to agree. Besides, if they need you back, they will inform you. This is a place of rest for all. So Cmdr, make the most of it. And that is an order.

brooks:"Your not really my type doctor . But what the hell you only live once."
he slowly gets up.
Julian "I was refering to commander Sutherland not you mr brooks.
Vic "I had a special request earlier for Chris de burgs "Lady in red" from the Vulcan captain T'lekha ."
T'lekha "I might have been a hoot to see you dancing with commander brooks."
T'cara "Here, here! That should be an order."
Julian " Sorry captain T'Cara but no. Maggie- commander Sutherland if you please."

t'lekha and Brooks get up on the dance floor along with Maggie and doctor Bashir.

the lounge singer begins the song.

After that dance, we sit down for a chat or two. Then just as I look around to ask Brooks something, would you believe it, he is gone. I guess that he could not wait to find out about our new ship and the next mission. I wonder if I will ever get to ask him what I wanted to. Maybe it is a good thing that he is gone.
